Degree Programs at the Institute

Degree Programs are offered to qualified applicants who have minimally graduated from secondary school.  Options are available for High School Seniors who have fulfilled their High School Coursework in a home-education setting.

Two-Year Associate's

Associate of Catholic Doctrine
(68 Credits)

A graduate of the first two years at the Institute will receive an Associate of Catholic Doctrine Degree which will indicate their working knowledge of the Christian Creed, Christian Worship, and Christian Doctrine.  Students will cover the following areas of study:
  • Two-Semester Course on Catholic Doctrine teaching students how to know the Truth
  • Intensive Study of the first half of the Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • Study of History and Science from Ancient Greece to the Decline of the Middle Ages
  • Study of Key works of Literature and the Arts from Ancient Greece to the Decline of the Middle Ages
  • A full reading of the entire New Testament canon of Sacred Scripture while reading Commentary on Sacred Scripture from the Fathers of the Church
  • Four Apologetics classes focused on defending the faith in light of hot-button issues in today's culture
  • Institute of the Holy Doctors Formation Program

Four-Year Bachelor's

Bachelor of Catholic Theology & Philosophy
(136 Credits)

A graduate of the full four-year academic program will receive a Bachelor of Catholic Theology & Philosophy Degree which will indicate their understanding of Christian Catechetics, Christian Worship, Christian Doctrine, Christian Theology, Monastic Spirituality, and Practical Spirituality.  The program is pervasive in concept and will consist of the following emphases in addition to the courses listed in the first two years:
  • Two-Semester Course on Catholic Theology and Two-Semester Course on Catholic Spirituality teaching students how to understand and live the Truth
  • A full reading of all 2,865 paragraphs of the Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • Study of History and Science from Ancient Greece to the Modern Age
  • Study of Key works of Literature and the Arts from Ancient Greece to the Modern Age
  • A full reading of the entire canon of Sacred Scripture while reading Commentary on Sacred Scripture from the Fathers of the Church
  • Overview of Philosophy from Ancient Greece to the Modern Age
  • Eight Apologetics classes focused on defending the faith in light of hot-button issues in today's culture
  • Institute of the Holy Doctors Formation Program
